I can't believe that in exactly 4 weeks and 5 days I'll be getting induced and I'll get to meet my son... I'm so excited yet so nervous!!!
Any advice on being induced?? Like what to expect??
@mom211n11 you're fine! I'll be getting induced the day I turn 39weeks.
I was induced with my first and hope I don’t have to be again, though I probably will due to gestational diabetes and my age. Mine didn’t go well, and I ended up having an emergency c-section, even though I was against that in the beginning. I was only 1cm dilated, had 2 rounds of pitocin, my water broke shortly after the 2nd was inserted. 18 painful hours afterwards, I was only 2cm dilated. I didn’t want to chance an infection for either me or my baby girl, so I had the c-section. My body had gone through so much pain, the epidural didn’t work, and I felt as they started cutting me open. I had them knock me out! Hopefully, yours will go smoothly! I’ve heard a lot of positive stories, mine just wasn’t the greatest experience. 🤞
I was induced with both my boys. My first born it was a difficult birth i wasnt dilating (they used the ballon) it was very very painful 10 minutes after they did that i asked for the epidural i couldnt take the pain. With my second one they used the pill! I had a dose of those every 5 hours it didnt help much either. It wasnt as painful as my first one tho.
@rariszoo I heard they won't let you eat at a certain point incase you need a C-Section. I also heard they will let you eat after being induced but I have no idea how this is gonna go, this is my first child. I'm beyond nervous about giving birth and about getting the epidural !!
@dessiboo I get it! I've got an anxiety disorder that made it hard to stay calm, but it really want that bad, just a pinch a little bit of a chill and then all the sudden I was laid back down and feeling a lot better and relaxed. Good luck! It's terrifying to be a new mom going into labor, but it's definitely worth it once that little one is placed in your arms!
@rariszoo thank you so much for all the info ♡ I really appreciate it!! & Thank you !! ♡♡ I can't wait till he's in my arms!
Expect birth plans to be rendered completely useless lol. Mine certainly was. Eat before you leave for the hospital. SLEEP up until you need to go in of possible. I didn't and it was a mistaaake. Basically just start being okay with things not going the way you planned ahead of time. I'd wanted a natural birth, no pitocin or pain meds. Luckily avoided the pitocin since I was contracting like they wanted. But ended up needing an epidural so my body could relax since contractions were on top of each other and baby was stressed. Just be ready and accepting of anything that happens is my advice.
@rariszoo thank you for the input!! ♡ I have to be at the hospital at 6:45am so I'll definitely go to bed early that night and wake up in time to eat something before going in !! :)
@dessiboo I went in at 4am after having to call them at 12 and then 2 and 3am. So I was up and down and couldn't sleep lol. Eating was definitely a help. I was starving after labor so I can't imagine what it would be like if I hadn't eaten lmao.
I was induced with my first. Can’t really compare it to a normal birth since I haven’t experienced it. I was having contractions all day but I got pitocin around 7 pm. By midnight I still hadn’t dilated past 5 cm so I got the epidural because I was so tired. It was smooth sailing after that.
@macinkaimomma oh no....
Is it more painful then having him come on his own???
From talking with my doctor. Letting the baby come on his own would be best cause it’s easier and less painful. I want this baby to come on his own cause of my experience with my 1st pregnancy.
ITS PAINFUL!!!!!!!!! I wished I would have never gotten induced with my 1st child. With this pregnancy. I don’t want to be induced. But I may have too. 🤷♀️but besides the pain the beauty is your going to finally meet your baby. Someone else may have a different experience. But mines was very painful.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Damn I'll be around 40!!! :(

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Are you getting induced at 39 weeks? I was doing the math and I got 38 1/2? I'm just asking because most doctor's will not induce until after 39 weeks if not medically necessary. Regardless of when they are available. I'm being induced in a little over 2 weeks at 38 1/2 weeks but I have medical reasons for this. Do I have my math wrong? Not trying to question you at all hun.
