Do your research beforehand, and then research it again. I got mine tied after my last baby. I KNOW I am done having kids, so I'm happy that it's no longer a decision on birth control (I can't have hormonal birth control for medical reasons). BUT. My periods have been insane since. They are extremely heavy (I'm leaking at least twice each cycle... Never leaked before), and the cramps are worse. I can feel my cycle starting three days before any actual bleeding, and it's almost crippling. Prior, I never actually got much more than a manageable lower back ache. Talk to your doctor about risk factors and what to expect after. I asked mine, and she told me there was no evidence that my cycle would change much. But they seriously flipped on me. I'm hoping it'll level at down the road, as I'm 9 months pp/post surgery.

It can also mess up your hormones and it's permanent. That's why I will not get it done

Getting your tubes tied is not permanent. You can go get them untired and you can also still have a tube baby. I'm a nurse seen it many times. So if you don't want no more kids 100% sure the best thing to do is get a Hysterectomy.

My friend tied hers afte 6 kids and she regrets it. She is on menopause now at 34. Just 4 years after the surgery.
