So my son is 1 now and i have switched over to whole milk but i think its making him constipated. It hurts him to poop and his poops are really hard. I have been giving him prune apple juice but idk ..wut r ur opinions? O we have a doc appt in tha morning as well.

My daughter goes through the same with cows milk we had to switch her to ripple milk doctor said she may be lactose intolerant
Formula to milk . First more formula then milk and slowly add more milk as the days go on .
Hi yes i did the transition and i thought he did so well with it until he got constipated.
Did you transition ? It helps if you do , won’t hurt the belly as bad .
Only with my 3 rd son that happened he would shake and scream ...and be constipated from vitamin d milk,, he drink s vanilla almond milk since 3 wks after turning 1 yrs old..and Miralax 1 spoon a day in the almond milk at night he has been great since..

Whole milk or formula can cause constipation. Too much of any thing is bad. Maybe cut back intake or switch over to 2% milk. Also, in my experience our daughter was always severely constipated on formula from birth til she was 9 month's and I switched her. Hope this helps.
I thought it was recommended for toddlers to have whole milk until 2 yrs.?
It usually happens when you switch them over. Give him some water too, and fruit to help :)
Really well at his appt. Today he just said to put Vaseline on his bum so it will be easy when he makes his bowel movements and he said chill a little with the whole milk and feed him other foods with milk in it. He also said foods with high fiber and prune juice or apple juice. So i will do all of these things to see if it helps. We will see ..
