@brittney.arp11, this will be my second c section first was emergency because my daughters heart rate was dropping after 19 hours in labor.. I know recovery sucks it was sooo painful and gas pain was horrible..

Recovery is very intense
You will need to take stool softener starting now because your bowels shut down during surgery and trying to poop is super painful and it expands so much OUCH so start it now and keep it flowing really well. You will have a drip you can press a button every 90 seconds for more pain relief in your IV for a while after. Keep pressing the button!!! Don't fall behind on your pain medicine once you lose your relief it's hard to get it back. Good news is the joy of the baby will override the pain completely. No worries Mama. Try not to think about it at all. Even when you're going in for it. Keep yourself occupied. Dont watch videos of it either. You got this.

They made sure i didn't feel anything and got to work. Was some tugging but that's it. Got her then they died my tubes. I was numb a while and recovery sucks.

They set you up get info maybe monitor baby they shaved down there a little lol but it was long for me because 2 emergency before my scheduled one. Of course there was more important. So i was there at 8 didn't have her till 416. I was already contracting on my own i went in there they tried numbing me with some kind of block didn't work so had to go epidural and that worked.

@happymamato2, do you feel anything or just pain after?

@brittney.arp11, do they induce you does your water break any contractions or they just numb u and do the c section?
