How do you guys feel when people say their a single parent only because of their relationship status but they still get help with the child from the other parent?

I say that's a single parent.....

The father is not there 24/7 through the sick nights or help with everything but still has part of child I get it but the mom still gotta work and live life with out help= single mom

I dont like those that say there single parents even though there married and the hubby actually stepped up those are the ones I prefer to ignore

@emmy.0802, @latinspice, I’m just trying to understand people’s definition of it I always see people have different meanings for it

I’ve always thought a single parent house has one parent, regardless of help from the other parent. In that case both mom and dad would be considered single parents.

Hi! I'm a single mom. Her father is still in the picture but we are not together. We live in separate homes. He is however an amazing father who takes her whenever he can supports her financially and is a constant presence in her life. She is with me 85% of the time however and finances for her are split 50/50. He helps me because that is his daughter but it doesnt make me not a single mom.

What do YOU judge

Clearly, no one is a perfect parent nor do we know everything. But what’s something you judge a parent off of or just irks you?

When do parents stop going to appointments with their kids?

babybump_user I've taken myself to appointments since I was able to drive, so 16.
babybump_user I would keep going until at least 18 and then if they ever asked me to come
babybump_user I hate going to any kind of appointment myself. I can't explain it, I do have anxiety
