Do pushing the afterberth out really hurts more then pushing the baby out?
Let this be the least of your worries. There was so much going on with the relief of having the baby being out and being caught up in the moment of everything that I didn’t even realize it was being delivered afterwards
I just had my baby and honestly the after birth was so easy it just feels really strange. But it’s not painful
I didn’t notice anything. I didn’t have to “push” I guess the DR pushed on my stomach. Honestly have no clue. I was zoned out!
Nothing better than being punched and elbowed in the stomach after having a baby 😖
lol the afterbirth was nothing compared to getting my daughters head and shoulders out. People told me that the nurses massaging my stomach would hurt like hell, but I don’t remember it hurting at all. I was too focused on the baby
You’re so overwhelmed with your baby that you’re not even going to realize it happening.
What hurts is them pushing your stomach hard af every couple of hours and blood gushing out
No I didn’t even feel it come out. What was uncomfortable was them pressing on my belly to push it out. But def not as painful as pushing out the baby. It’s a soft mushy organ. Not a big ol round head lol!!
Mine didn’t come out all at once. My doc had to go in and scrape it out with one hand while pushing in my stomach with the other. It was pretty painful and left me with stretch marks I didn’t have before delivering my son. So it was pretty painful, and quite frankly I don’t remember anything else from directly after delivering my son other than the pain.
If you have an epidural they'll most likely push on your belly.. Really depending on who does it is how bad it hurts. My daughters wasnt bad at all, didnt hurt. With my son I did it natural (not my choice lol) and I didnt get a chance to get an epidural. The placenta wouldnt come out, they had to give me a shot and I had 2 ppl pushing on my stomach. It hurt like a bitch but they said they'd have to go in manually if it wouldnt come out with them pushing on my stomach. I had to tell one doc if he was a student to get the fuck out bc he was hurting me too bad and the other one was having to walk him through it.
Nope it feels like a big chunk of jelly sliding out your hoo hah. Not painful just gross feeling if you aren’t numb down there
Lol I didn’t even know I did push the after birth out until I asked was everything done!
It doesn't really feel like anything. They just push on your stomach while you're having a contraction and it comes right out. The only time it would hurt is if for some reason it was still attached a little and they yanked on it. But if you have an epidural you definitely won't feel anything.
I don’t actually remember pushing it out. I’m pretty sure the nurse just pushed on my belly to death until it came out.
No, it didn’t hurt more than the baby. I felt it come out, but nothing like a baby coming out.
I had an epidural so this might not be applicable, but at that point I was doing skin to skin with my daughter and I didn’t even feel the afterbirth or when I got stitches. I was just focused on her.
