Anyone else’s little one gag and randomly spit up to the point sometimes they chock? He’s 2 days old and before leaving the Hosiptal I kept bring that up to them they claim it’s normal just to get it out his mouth with the nose sucker. It’s concerning to me and I will be calling his pediatrician in the morning. Just wanted to see if anyone’s went through this and what did they do to help their little one. TIA

Did you deliver quickly? As in you only pushed a few times?

@tennesseehawk, I did deliver very quickly. I didn’t take a breath after each push or anything just kept going.

My son did this and it scared me so much. I got the Owlet smart sock and it would (and still does) help me sleep at night. Have him near you so you can hear him or turn the monitor up. He will be just fine!

@itsjustabunchofhocuspocus90, he was born so quickly that he didn’t spend enough time in the birth canal to squeeze all of the fluid out of his lungs. My son was the exact same way and that’s what we were told. I only pushed maybe 3 times and he was out. It’s normal but so scary to watch! We were told to prop him up while he sleeps so if he does spit up and start to choke it doesn’t stay in his mouth and suffocate him. Sorry you’re going through this! It is normal for c-sec babies or babies born quickly. Give it another day or two and It will pass! ❤️
