So my daughter is Savanna, would naming baby number 2 Anna be weird? Opinions?

@savvysmom, I think they are a little too close. My step daughter is Kyla, my hubby wanted to name our daughter lyla. While I do love the name lyla.. it was just too close so we went with Layla. lol if you like “Anna” maybe have that be a middle name?

It does rhyme but if you guys like it, who cares. I know of a lot of siblings with very similar names and in the end it’s kinda cute lol

Your baby, your choice! But have you thought about naming her something longer that starts with Anna or Ana and call her Anna for short? Just another suggestion :)

@amysbabies everyone says Annabelle and all I think about is the possessed doll. I like Annalynn but I think it's too close to anal and my husband doesnt like the Lynn part because its after my mom

Picking names is so hard because I try to find names that are hard to make a bad nick name or easily made fun of

@savvysmom, yeah. Idk I mean if you guys like it then go for it. But just my personal opinion is it’s too close. As a mom eventually you’ll yell out “roll call” when your yelling for them. And with names close you’ll end up doing it more often. Lol

I went to a school with a girl named Saleena, and her little sister’s name was Aleena

You could do a variation of anna like annalise. And you call her anna for short. But I wouldnt do just plain Anna because it's too close to the 1st ones name for my taste but that's just me. Like my daughters middle name is Grace and I loved the name Gracelyn but we didn't use it for my 2nd because of her sisters name. But its your child. You should make her whatever you like regardless. 😊

@fourkidsandababy yeah that's close to the first problem I was having my 1st ones middle name is Carol, I wanted to name the 2nd karalynn (pronounced carolin) and everyone was tripping lol my step sister is pregnant too at 25 weeks and is naming her daughter caroline so I dont want to use that name

@sleepymommy sadly savannas nickname is already nana, I tried calling her savvy and vanni and vanna but nana is what took. My husbands nana hates it lmao
