Has anyone else had this happen to their child? My daughter ate ranch and where it touched this is what it did to her skin! They said it was more a skin sensitivity than an allergic reaction. I took her in only because it was all around her mouth. Just in case it got worse.

@ladyblauvelt, that’s my plan. I looked into it a little and I guess it’s somewhat common for this to happen with ranch. Weird. I never would have guessed.

Ranch and ketchup do this to my kids because they have super sensitive skin. They're not allergic or anything it's just ranch and ketchup are acidic so it'll cause redness. No biggie.

@tiera_shaye my 2yr old had something like that happen with marinara sauce when he was about that age

My 6 year old can have ranch but as soon as it touches his face and sits there for a minute it will do this. And he’s not allergic. My 1 year old is allergic to dairy and eggs and he breaks out around his mouth and body with those two.

My daughter has the same problem with ranch, but only when it touches her skin. 🤷 I figured if she wasn't getting sick from eating it, it was fine. I just make sure to wash her up right away when she has it so the rash isn't bad. Though it's gotten better over the year

This happens to my son with certain bbq sauces. He has sensitive skin so we don’t even allow him to have it anymore

She’s prob fine to eat it if it has spices in it they can be harsh on the skin still happens to me I eat it and I’m fine
