Can I give my 1 year old pediasure to help boost his appetite
@beakymcspence, ok thanks I thought it was good to boost his appetite. But thank you so much for information you have given me
@mamachey, ok thank you so much for the information
I've heard it's not good for them. Try adding snacks. In child care I gave the little ones yogurt, yogurt bites or peanut butter "cookies" aka healthy nut bars. Shhhh! They must never know.
@mamachey, We are great!! Your getting so close to your due date eeeeek
@beakymcspence, yah i remember seeing your post thats why i made sure to word it carefully when i seen you had posted as well! Hope you guys are doing well 💓💓
@mamachey, Yeah it’s generally a last resort for sure. Our dietician hates to have us give it to JJ but it’s to mix with his laxaday to go into his feeding tube every morning. Our other kids won’t touch it they say it tastes “like a butt” lol
My dr said no ... they said its all chemicals
Offer snacks more cal dense foods like, yogurt tubes , nuts like walnuts, cheese string, various crackers (mostly gold fish)
Theres ao many just google srry lol
But usually pediasure is last resort
And know that kids go through phases and if your dr isnt concerned dont stress your swlf
@beakymcspence, oh ok I was just wondering I haven’t given him any
@techie_grrl, oh ok thank you. Because he still stuck only mostly milk n creal. N I’m trying to boost his appetite. What can I do to help boost his appetite
Pediasure themselves recommend for use under two years of age to consult with your doctor. This is listed directly on the bottle (we use it for our son who’s 4)
Pediasure won't boost appetite, but it will make sure he's getting the right nutrients if he's not eating enough. It's like a meal supplement.
@theharmans2018, Lol ok thank you I’m have to buy him more snacks to have around the house
