What did you guys pack for the hospital bag?? Im due in 2 weeks and im still gettin it together?? Close friends tell me just 1 outfit for when hes goin home, but that doesnt sound accurate to me😂 unless the hospital provides clothes while your there
@kami24706, yea i have most of that, do i bring clothes for the baby like for 3 days, and some pjs?About the time i would stay or just an outfit to bring him home in?
My hospital keeps saying if u put clothes on baby they will go in remove them because they want u do skin on skin. But i packed few outfits anyway bc i wasnt sure what outfit i want her come home in n i dont know her size lol. Now for my son i packed my own undies and pj gowns and i loved it and own toiletries.
I personally pack 2-3 outfits for myself, some pajamas and slippers, and a couple of outfits for the baby (newborn and 0-3 months just in case) with a receiving blanket or two. I pack toiletries for a shower after and a charger for my phone. Everything else I need is already in my purse like keys, chopstick, phone, insurance cards and ID, money, etc. Some people also pack their makeup.
I suggested DH pack a couple outfits and pajamas, and I already had his toiletries in with mine. This was our second child, so he really didn't need anything since he wound up going home to be with our first.
I wear a hospital gown the entire time I’m there. I just packed my bag. Slippers, chapstick, toothbrush&toothpaste, bath soap, deodorant, hand sanitizer and phone charger. I also packed a going home outfit for myself and baby. Hospital provided everything else.
Clothes for you, your other half and baby. If you feel up to it you'll most likely want to shower. Snacks for you significant other cause you don't know how long you'll be there and if your there at night you won't have anything to eat. Something to keep you busy cause you will be there for quite awhile. (game, book, paper to draw, etc.) Formula, bottle, wipes, diapers, water bottle, butt cream in case of diaper rash. Hairbrush, toothpaste, toothbrush, mittins for their hands so they don't scratch their face. Socks to keep feet warm, a baby blanket, have to have a carseat in order to take baby home.
@ashley012000 I would definitely pack a few, I know the room they have they give them something to wear, but if the baby spits up or pees themselves or so they will need a change of outfits. Some people stay longer in the hospital, it depends on how you heal and how the baby is doing. Always be prepared for the unexpected.
