I waited it out with my second thinking he is just little he will talk eventually but eventually never came he was almost 4 and still couldn’t be understood. I think if I got him in speech sooner he would understand school better than he is now.
My daughter just turned 19 months and just started to walk to. I was freaking out to believe me. I tried teaching her and she just wanted to do it on her own terms. I’m sure your son is fine. Some kids are more stubborn than others.

All kids learn at their own pace. My son didn’t start walking until a few months after his first birthday.
