I am literally so scared of giving birth because my first birthing experience was absolutely traumatic. Those mommas who had an epidural do you feel anything?
I’m literally in labor and as we speak and my nerves are kicking in so so bad.
@kirstycraig64 yikes lol yeah my bad abt that
Well guys she’s here and healthy! I literally felt nothing and had her within 15 minutes of pushing!
@cmjohnson3047, probably a narcotic. Lol just didn’t want someone to ask them for narcan or something! Lol
@kirstycraig64 yikes ok so NOT THAT lol sorry but it was just a pain Medicine to take the edge off so i wouldnt be in alot of pain and still be in control
@cmjohnson3047, do you know what narcan is? Maybe you mean narcotics? Narcan is the reversal agent for narcotics, like with overdoses or respiratory distress due to narcotic medications
I still felt more than most people say they do with an epidural. So thankful I had it because I'm pretty sure I wouldnt have made it going natural.
I don’t feel contractions with the epidural just what felt like spasms. But they didn’t hurt. When it’s time to push the pressure intensifies. Once the baby’s shoulders pass I truly didn’t feel anything.
@micgennyy, like you, my epidural wore off quickly and they wouldn’t let me redose. My bff had the same issue with her first but her second went much better bc they let her redose. You’ve got this mama!
@micgennyy I felt nothing giving birth just pressure but it was wearing off and they gave me an extra shot and plus I had the button that gives me more med for the epidural I wasn't I still had control ge was out less than an hour of pushing
I felt nothing at all. My baby was half out and I didnt know it. The doctor came in to check me and picked up a baby lol
You just feel a little burning that's all I honestly barley felt it and he was like we're dobe and I was like oh really that was easy and honestly my contractions hurt so bad that I didbt even think about the needle
When i had my daughter they had to turn the epidural down because i couldnt feel a thing not even pressure i had no clue when to push After probably 45 min of it being turned down i finally felt pressure and could push and actually get somewhere. I tore and didn't feel it or them stitching me up. With my son it worked but i had a twisted cervix. Once they got it straightened out he hit a nerve and it quit working all together. But i got him out in less than ten minutes so the pain didnt last long and it was honestly easier than when i had my daughter.
I got a epidural at 5cm and then 50 min later it was time to push
Nope, barley any pressure! My doctor had to tell me when to push. I got one all 4 times, each time at about 5cm, except for my last baby, I tried to go natural. I made it to 8cm and then I broke down and got it again.
It doesn’t completely take away the feeling, only the pain! Good luck and safe delivery!
I had my epidural for about 5 hours before I started pushing. No pain whatsoever, just dull pressure when I needed to push
I didnt get a epidural but they put some narcan in my iv and i still felt like i was in control and i coukd feel when i was pushing but i was pretty numb at the same time. Like i more so just felt pressure and that was waaaaay better for me
I don’t feel anything I only felt pressure like I had to poop really bad . I didn’t even realize at the time it was the urge to push .
Don’t worry you got this !
@mommytotheo, well right now I feel absolutely nothing but strong pressure! They let me redose whenever I feel any type of pain so my epidural is still extremely strong!
I didn't feel the contractions but when it was time to push I sure did feel everything lol
I had an epidural I only felt pressure when it was time to push and that’s it. I got mine about 10 mins before I started pushing so I’m not sure how it is if you’ve had it for a while
@boymama., I’m sorry for asking but I had an epidural with my first and it completely wore off and they wouldn’t let me redose AT ALL. I felt every bit of pain and ended up screaming my head off. It seriously traumatized me. Here they let me redose whenever I feel any type of pain and I fully feel the epidural but no pain whatsoever. So I was just curious how it felt giving birth with an epidural.
@micgennyy No, it wasnt painful but I could definitely feel it. Tbh I pushed for over two hours because i couldn't feel anything down there. When I started feeling pressure 4 pushes and he was out.
All I felt was him coming out but with no pain, I felt my stomach like deflate lol it’s hard to explain. It also felt like I big relief like you took a nice 💩😂 how I felt anyways!
I didnt feel anything until the last few pushs and all i felt was pressure. Other than that nothing. I even tore and didnt feel a thing or stitch. Lol
My hospital officially posted on their website that no spouses are aloud in during birth/post partum. So guess who’s gonna have to freaking look into a midwife for vbac tomorrow 🙃 not an option to have my fiancé miss the whole birth of our son. Freaking crazy.
Im literally so over these women chasing after my man. It gets old and its so disrespectful! 😡😡😡

Well I Had My Daughter Today Literally Took Me 1 Hour & 35 mins & 2 Pushes & She Was Here ! 🥰💖💖 So In Love With Her & Her Name Is Anastasia
! It Happen So Fast & Had The Best Experience! And She Was 7 Pound 10
Started smoking 🚬 again and i know it's bad but by god I literally felt like ripping my skin 😱 off it got so bad
So as we do... I been reading birth stories with 3pregnancy... is it that bad the way people say it is??? 🤦🏽♀️why would my 3rd labour be more painful
I had an epidural I was in labor for 29 hours and pushed for 3 I had to let my epidural wear off so I could push properly so I felt my son come out and I felt myself rip in 3 places but if I hadn’t let it wear off I wouldn’t of felt a thing.
