Haha usually they get it in there soon after. But they probably have padding down there to catch any mess anyways. I could usually still feel the warmth or my water coming out (after they broke it) so you will probably be able to tell if you do.

Lmao this happened to me my last pregnancy, It ended up being my mucus plug! My SO looked at me when it happened and I told him it wasn’t me😂
