Okay mommas so my daughter has been peeing and pooping in her potty, she’s been doing really well with the potty training..... my question is how do I get her to wake up from a nap and bedtime to use the bathroom. When she takes a nap and goes to bed at night she wears a pull up. How do I get her to wake herself up to use the potty so she don’t have to wear pull ups at night or nap time.???

We are not there yet, but I think it’s more about restricting liquids before and making sure they use the potty beforehand. Staying dry overnight can be more of a physical milestone than training- some toddlers can early, other 8 year olds have medical issues where they cannot. I have a cousin you needed overnights until 6 or so, there was a strict no liquids after a certain hour, which helped.

Stop drinks at a curtain time. An hour before bed.
She kinda has to train her self not to pee at night

My sons bedtime is 8:30. We started with restricting liquids at 6pm and making sure he goes potty right before bed. Then as he got used to that and is finally not wetting the bed now we made it so it’s no liquids after 7. Also not sure if it actually helped but i constantly tell him every night at bed time that if he needs to go pee to get up and go.

My son is 3 and is taking his time to potty train, I want to restrict liquids before bed, but my husband thinks that that is the only way to put him to bed. He just keeps laying there in the bed until he's wet, or playing until he wets or poops himself. I keep telling my husband that we need a consistent schedule to make it work. But he doesn't help me that much in this area, and expects David to learn on his own. He has a little potty, and he can go pee in it standing up. But he won't always do that. His little brother is only 19 months and he is still in diapers. I'm just fed up with it, myself. Cause I don't want him in diapers with baby sister coming

@igeerry, can you just take over the bedtime routine? Every child is different, but you’re right, consistency definitely helps. My daughter is 3 in a few weeks and we are still working on potty training, even with baby #2 coming soon, I’m not in a rush, just creating a stable routine that she’ll pick up on her own time.

Following cause I'm soon at that point... We can go to stores and she will have a dry pull-up.... But she is still in a crib...
Waiting for next weekend to take the legs off of the bed we have to start getting her in there, and then hopefully....
We've also been telling her that she needs to not pee in bed so much, and her pull-up has been lighter in the mornings. 😃
