@brittany88, my son is 14 days old. I can’t believe 2 weeks went by that fast ! I’m still wearing a pad too. I would like the bleeding/spotting to stop 100% too. Glad I’m not alone with the hip pain 😂😂😂😂I guess my hips are going back into place since they had to pop to push out a human lol .

My baby is almost two weeks and now I’m spotting , not having full bleeding . I assume it may be on and off for 4-6 weeks but mine is not heavy at all. Are you still bleeding heavily ?

@chynabovian2174, and I bled for about 5. I’m just saying, the general consensus is that c-sec moms bleed less. I mean, that’s just what my two OBGYNs and the internet says. It’s a guide. Not a fast and hard rule.

@ladyfreyja, yeah! My doctor told me they do extra care cleaning up before closing you up. Like, they carefully remove our placenta where as a vagina birth the mother has to push it out on her own.

@jennatess I believe it's true because they vacuum out a lot of the blood? I saw it after getting up off the table. Not a lovely sight. I barely bled after my C section with my twins. It was like a short light period. Probably less then 2 weeks

My little one is 3 weeks today and I’m still spotting . Nothing heavy. This will probably take a whole other week to completely stop fingers crossed 🤞🏼 lol

C-section moms don't bleed less. Your blood flow and how much you bleed is based upon how quickly you heal from where your placenta detaches from your uterus. The standard time frame for most women is 6 to 8 weeks. Regardless if you stop bleeding prior to that you should take it easy for the first 6 weeks because you can irritate your uterus if you over exert yourself. When the placenta detaches it leaves you with a wound and it essentially has to "scab over" just like when you scrape your knee and over use it, it's same concept with postpartum! But all women are different though I've never heard anything less than 4 weeks.

Totally depends on the person.

They say c-section moms bleed less.
