My poor fella got all his shots today & 2 chest X-rays..it was like torture for him. I feel so sad he’s had a rough day.…

He's fine on his weight I think. My son is 13 pounds but in the 97th percent for his height, so that may make a difference. He's 24 in a half inches long. How long is your son if u don't mind me asking? I don't think you need to put him on a diet regardless.

Sounds like he’s right on target then 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’d say as long as you keep pace feeding and he stays within range, I wouldn’t worry.

@laniejay, he eats 2-2.5 ounces per feed. About every 2-3 hours. I pace feed & he weighs 14 pounds.

@girlmom., yea I thought why in the world does my 2 month old need restricted feedings🤷🏼‍♀️ his pediatrician seemed only concerned because he was 50% the whole time & just jumped up to 90%... idk why didn’t gay matters but she said something about “setting his metabolism” & asked if my older son had the same issue. I said he was 90% from the get go & stayed that way. So idk.. either way, I don’t think it’s necessary & he’s not going to love this change:(

How much is he eating per feed? Are you pace feeding him?

He should eat 1.5-2oz per lb of body weight per day at this point. Ex: 10 lb baby should eat 15-20oz per day. 3hr feeds is 8 feed= 1 3/4 oz- 2.5 oz per feed.

@girlmom., that’s what my reaction was as well. He was steady in the 50th percentile then quickly jumped to 90th so she said he needs to eat less. She called him a big chunk & said he needs to go on a diet. I have to reduce each feeding by one ounce.
