The doctor said yesterday in the ER that it was not impressive and might not be thrush at all :( it's not wiping away…

@verguinia, thank you , I’ve never had pneumonia only bronchitis so I can’t imagine how my son must’ve felt. 😔 but, he is all better now thankfully &;yes do that & I was also told putting some yogurt on your breasts before feeding will help her & you too. So it doesn’t pass along ☺️☺️

@vee_the_otaku_momx3 I would cry too poor baby I had what your baby had a couple of years ago it's hard and hurts and the fever never goes down:( God Bless your baby and happy he is better ! I have an unopened bottle of a refill from nystatin that they gave me and I will use a q tip to put the medication on hee tounge so that I don't contaminate it with thrush and will do it like 3x a day and I will buy probiotics and drink them so they can pass to her through my milk let's see if it works for a week or two if not I'll go to a privet doctor

@verguinia, some docs are against using meds & will say to go the natural way or they just don’t know what the hell they are talking about about & are doctors for the check . Earlier thus year my some had “just” a cold & he was getting worse so I went to another hospital & got a second opinion. Guess what happened , he had the flu with complications that turned out to be pneumonia in his lower side of the left lungs. I cried lol but, i am glad I trusted my gut instinct .

@vee_the_otaku_momx3 yes I took some out with a toothbrush it feels and looks like cotton like real cotton I know it's not normal !!

@verguinia, they prescribed the liquid nyastatin & it went away eventually . Some mild cases CAN go away on their own but, usually with natural treatment but, most will not without meds. That’s what nurse & doc told me, they said not to worry that it was common & normal for babies to get. It can hurt hem & it doesn’t feel good so baby will be fussy & cranky.

If you don’t want to use gentian violet use the grape seed extract .

@verguinia, that’s just sad. I’m sorry smh but, I also went to wic office & there are a fuel ways to make it go away. They should not ignore thus, mild or not . It can get worse & it can hurt or make baby uncomfortable &; fussy. Use grape seed extract or gentian violet (on you & baby) gentian violet is messy so wear an old shirt & will dye a purple color but will go away & nothing to worry about.

@mommy_x3 my boyfriend doesn't approve and got mad when I told him and it leaves a stain so I can't even hide using it from him :(

@vee_the_otaku_momx3 I'm on your page I went to my doc he looked at me straight in my face and said no I don't give med for this it will go away at 6 months I went to another hospital er yesterday and the doc said it don't look impressive and didn't give me anything !!!! I'm feeling defeated :( and like im crazy and they think im crazy :( all I can think of now is to buy probiotics and drink them and have it pass to her through breast milk:(

Try the gentian violet stuff I told you about! It’s only like $6 on Amazon, I gave it to Eliana and hers was gone within a few days... and I only applied the medicine about 4 times!

@verguinia, I would go back to the hospital and make them look at her mouth again because that is most definitely thrush and it’s not right they are telling you to ignore it

@verguinia, my pediatrician told me that it doesn’t always have to go on their cheeks or roof of mouth . It could just be on the tongue. I would take her to her doctor & to get the meds for it & if you breastfeed , you need medication too so that it doesn’t get passed back & forth between you & the baby.

@momof5brats second opinion I did that yesterday went to another hospital and the ER doctor said it didn't look bad and to ignore it :( because it's not on her cheeks I feel hopeless

The doctor from that hospital is an idiot because that look like thrush 100%. They should have given you a liquid medication to put on her tongue. I’d go to another doctor.

@verguinia, my baby old doctor told me the same thing so I went and got a second opinion and I was right she had thrush. She no longer has that doctor

It looks like thrush to me. My daughter had it too from newborn to like 2 months of age but, if it doesn’t come off when wiping most likely thrush.
