Would any of you mommas like to share your labor and delivery story with me? I know I still have a while to go…

I was due on the 24th of May and started feeling contractions that same morning but weren’t intense. Later that day (11pm) I was having then 2-3 mins apart which is when I decided to head to the hospital. Arrived at 6cm, by the time they took me to the labor & delivery room and so on I was at 7cm (1am). Dr broke my water around 2am & my daughter was born at 6:13am with no epidural. I will try to go that same route this time around, only a few weeks to go 💙 good luck to you!

With my 1st one my water started leaking went the hospital did a swab test found it was my water they waited to see if contractions would start they didn't so they put me on pitocin made it a 7 before I got the epidural and what felt like minutes after that it was time to push I pushed for 50 minutes and he was born at 3:50 pm weighing 6lbs 15oz I was 37w 3d I was in labor for 17hrs

With my second I had to be induced because of hbp they inserted the pill that thins your cervix at 9pm water broke at 12:30 am got the epidural at 5pm and shortly after it was time to push and he was born at 6:22 am he was 7lbs 15oz I was 39w 3d and was only in labor for 9 1/2 hrs, they weren't easy labors I had 2nd degree tears with both but they were so worth it

It’s so cool to see how different labor is for everyone. These past couple of days my mind keeps instantly going to thoughts of how it will be, when it will happen, etc. anxiety at its finest 😂

Had my son on the 21st, water ruptured when I literally rolled out of bed and stood up at around 8. Went to the hospital got there about 9, and was dilated at 4 no pain but still felt my muscles contracting, in just a couple of hours I went from 4 to 6 contractions started to gain some intensity, walked the halls did workout ball did some squats lost some more water then in about an hour I went from a 6 to 8 water broke at 9 cm dilated pushed for about 10 min and little man was born at 2:13pm. It went by so fast it was amazing not choosing inducing in any way shape or form. And thats the only way I will deliver in the future. I only did a single dose of pain meds in my saline lock to take the edge off that last half.

@mrs.hibben, i was shocked it wasn’t worse pain but it did seem to take a bit longer to heal! It took longer than I expected for sex to be comfortable as well. I really thought It wouldn’t be the same down there again. It took over 12 weeks but it’s good as new lol

With my first my water broke at 2:45 and I had my daughter at 7:04. No contractions and pushed less than 10 minutes about 4 or 5 pushes. Nurses didn't believe me when I said she was coming. The dr got there just in time for me to start pushing. No pain meds all natural. I tore as well. Baby #2 had contractions and they told me that I wasn't in enough pain. They were discharging me and told me come back in 2 hours and they would check me. I got up to get dressed and my water started leaking bad. As soon as it broke I got really bad contractions. I was thinking about getting an epidural because they said she might not come till the next day. It was sometime after 7 at that point. As soon as I asked about an epidural I felt a ton of pressure. The nurse looked and started calling all the other drs and nurses. By the time my dr got there her head was almost out. From my water breaking to her coming was 40 minutes. I also tore with her. My girls were 8.4 and 7.15

@masseymomma16, How was your recovery with a tear like that?

I was induced a week over due. They used the gel. It was very intense and quick. I didn’t want an epidural. I finally caved because I thought I’d be in labor all day. I was to far along. Had my son with in 4 hours.

If it could happen like that again I’ll be stoked!

I had a very slow water leak before bed 2 days prior to 38 weeks. Didn’t realize it was water until the next morning. They had to break my hindwater though. Contractions started immediately. I was practically begging for epidural. I got it within an hour, it was pretty uncomfortable but so relieved 20 minutes after. They turned off my epidural so I could feel more. I went from a 7-10 within an hour. I was ready to push and the dr had an emergency section so they held me off. I felt everything by the time they let me push. I still managed to tear my labia and up to my clit. I delivered within 8 hours. My due date was 11/26 and had her 11/11. The cord was wrapped around her neck twice and that’s the first thing I remember about seeing her!

My due date was may 16th but I got induced may 24th at 41 weeks 1 day and had him 41 weeks 2 days. I got to 8cm before I got my epidural thats when I felt unbearable. And I had to get cut so I didnt tear. Glad I got the epidural because my son ended up being 9lbs 2oz.
