I posted this on my Facebook with this caption:

"Yes! Seriously all family and friends that mention his binx or try to lecture me about it please just stop. It may be a pet peeve to you but it's not to him or me. His binx is not making him refuse to eat, drink, or talk so just leave it alone."

My mother has to complain about it all the time and it's really getting old (we live with her), my Gram who has no volume control yells at me all the time for it too (we all live together, my house is the real life Full House). And my mother in law is the queen of casual insults, my fiance always says 'she didn't mean it like that', always feels the need to say he can't talk with it in and proceeds to take it out and hold him for like 5 minutes telling him to talk to her. I'm so sick of it I could scream but I aways bite my tongue and just say 'leave it alone' or 'he's fine'.

People need to remember as his mother I have the right to say "MY KID, MY RULES".

@laynehelen yeah I was taught in Early Childhood Education that when it comes to babies and toddlers, its better to talk to them properly and like an equal

My friends daughter used one until 3 and she has a little speech delay but nothing serious and besides that no effects. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like it’s nobody’s business.

I would only be concerned with a speech delay. But worse case it’s nothing a little speech therapy won’t solve.

@ladyblauvelt, He is kind of delayed but I also think my mother in law was right when she said the problem is that I speak his language

Trust me I'm all for using binkies but just a heads up, if they are used for too long they can postpone proper speaking, happened with my son, but this is by no means judgment, like I said, I'm all for the use of binkies

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

So my ex went to court and filed for visitation rights. I was served last week. I am not comfortable with our daughter being around him alone nor his mother which he lives with. I have proof of him asking me to take his drug test for his job for him in text messages and him texting me he was too high to drive and get our daughter milk. Is that enough to show the judge? As far as his mother she watches his son quite often and told us she gives him nighttime medicine if she has problems getting him to go to sleep at night. (Claims she did it with my ex when he was little too) And she FaceTimed us once mid day while taking his son back to his mother, she gave him night time medicine bc she didn’t want him talking the whole ride and wanted him to sleep. He was so out of it. It just scares me to leave her alone with them.

So over this feeling! Ever since I've had ds, OH and I have fought my mother on not wanting to give ds a dummy just cause we don't like them and find he self soothes. For the past three times my mother has had him, she has gone against our rule and given him a dummy and of course I spoke to her about it (that's all my knowledge on how many times she's done it). On Sunday we celebrated my stepfathers birthday and due to OH working I had to do it alone which isn't the thing that bothered me. The thing that bothered me was no matter what I said regarding ds I wasn't listened to. I told my mother to sit behind ds if she was going to sit him up on the floor as he hasn't got the whole balance thing down pact but she didn't and then ds falls and starts crying cause he hurt himself, I picked him up and my mother just came and took him off me! I told her he can't forward face yet as he is below the shoulder line in order to forward face but they did anyway. I get it's her first grandchild and she's excited but I never got to share the news about ds's first tooth or his first attempt at crawling to the family because she already done it. Yes I know, I probably sound petty asf! I had to repeatedly ask my mother to take me and ds home as he was tired and close to the over tired stage. On the way home ds fell asleep, luckily I was sitting beside him and looked at him cause he had fallen asleep and had his head facing down so I quickly grabbed his head and held it up till we got home.
