My doctor had me go in for another blood draw for hcg. 48 hours ago my level was 72. It's not only 122. So it didn't double. This is bad, right? Shouldn't it double this early in pregnancy? I'm so worried I'm going to lose this baby too.
It’s not necessarily bad. The hcg takes 48-72 hours to double so it did go up pretty close to doubling. You could just be really early and your body is still trying to catch up to being pregnant. I overly stressed about my numbers in the beginning and everything turned out okay. 18 weeks today ☺️ I’d ask to continue getting your tests done once or twice more to just watch the numbers closely and the doctor can have more say on what’s going on with each test round done. I got my hcg tested 4 times (each coming in for a base number and coming back in 48 hours, so blood drawn 8 times all together) before I finally was convinced everything was in the normal range and baby was doing okay. My doctors also accommodated my nerves with early transvaginal ultrasounds to see the babies growth at 5 weeks and 7 1/2 weeks and that helped also. 👍🏻
