@bitchcraft, yes my mom responded with why didn’t you tell me , I was well into my pre teens before I could grasp that what was happening to me wasn’t normal at all , I told her I didn’t wanna talk about it now , there is no point but I wanna make sure my kids know that it isn’t okay nobody touches them nobody...

You know what your doing, and your doing a great job. This happened to me as a kid as well and your just trying to prevent it.

I was almost touched by my big brother’s best friend I was around 8/9 years old and it happen when my brother brought him over to play video games, and they always played in the living room my mom was in her room, and I don’t know where my dad was, and my sister locked me out of our bedroom as usual, and I was sitting on the couch playing with my dolls, and my big brother went to the bathroom, and his friend came over to me, and sat next to me, and was asking me what my dolls names were, and the he put his arm around me, and then put his other hand on my leg, and was rubbing my leg, and kept moving up my leg, and then thankfully my big brother walked out of the bathroom, and his friend jumped up, and went, and sat across the room where he originally was playing video games. I never thought about it until he walked in on my big sister when she had just got out of the shower and he just stood there in our room looking at my sister. He’s in jail now for drugs thank God! This is why I’m so protective over my son I don’t like certain people watching him like my mom because my mom is an alcoholic so she wasn’t watching us and she let my uncle get away with molesting my sister and she let my brothers ex best friend get away with walking in on my sister. I’ve never told anyone about what happen to me besides my husband and my sister never talks about what happen to her, she was 13/14 when my uncle molested her in our own house because my parents invited him over and they all got drunk, and he pretended to go to the bathroom which our bedroom was right next to so he went into our room instead, and started molesting my sister, and my parents never pressed charges against him or anything, and just let him get away with it. It sad when you can’t even feel safe in your own home around your parents the people who are supposed to protect you from things like this but instead of protecting us they got drunk, and stayed out until 5am, and left us home alone to protect ourselves. I will never let what happen to me and my sister happen to my son.

My daughter was sexually abuse by her grandmother for years. I told my ex husband and he believes his mother then the Dr called and reported her buy since my daughter was 2 they didn't listen to her. So his mother did it for the next 5 yrs. Till she told her dad she was scared because of what her grandmother said. I still to this day have a hard time letting her stay anywhere.

Happened to my cousin. Neighbour boys rubbing up on her. Sigh. You gotta be on top of it all the time and it could be anyone.

Good for you for speaking up and doing what’s best for your babies. It’s not something that people like to talk about but it does happen and far too often. I was molested by my stepmother’s brother from the age 9-11 during the time he lived with us. People need to realize that most sex offenders against children are not strangers, they’re family and friends.

This happend to me but with an uncle. My parents were in the house but he toke me to the pantry room. And I don't allow any guy to be alone with my dd and my dh would get mad. And my father in law would take her since she was small to his room alone and I would throw a fit and every1 look at me like I was crazy or something cuz I would get very upset. And I told both in laws already I don't like it and my father in law been changing his ways. Just don't like that he say he want to sleep with my dd and i tell him NO!! Just don't want her to go thru wat I did.

Same happened to me girl, other kids, adults, no protection. My kids don't go ANYWHERE. We don't do sleepovers, or any of that shit. I even listen constantly yo everything in my own house to make sure there is no curious experimenting between my own kids because shit happens. I was so sexually traumatized that everyone is somewhat suspect. You do whay you have to do, and screw what anyone else thinks...!! I'd like for my children to be able to keep their innocence intact until they are old enough to consent, period. This post is so real, and somet ing rarely spoken about so openly...so many parents aren't paying attention to their kids as it is, buried in their own selfish shit or their phones... and I cannot even fathom that. It takes five minutes or less for something inappropriate to happen and then a lifetime of guilt, shame, and trauma can ensue.

Same. It was a close family friend I lived with and then my aunts husband. In a house full of people and with my uncle there were other people in the room. I don’t let me daughter alone with ANY man except her father. My MIL is a counselor for this sort of thing so she understands and has never pressured me about it. But my FIL has never tried to get her alone either. I don’t trust people to keep my daughter.
