Please No Judging Or Rude Comments
How Exactly Would I Tell My Doctor About My Weird Cravings???? I Literally CRAVE &’ Eat Toilet Paper😐... I Haven’t Told ANYONE About It Because I Know It’s Weird, But It’s Gotten Worse After Baby #2
Don’t be embarrassed at all! Just tell your OB everything, your iron levels are probably low.
I've heard of this before!! It's so crazy you're the first I've seen talk about it on here. Thank you for sharing. I don't think this is something to not mention to your doctor though. Especially your ob. I'll admit there are some things I don't wanna tell my primary but with my ob there are no secrets. It's for your health and the baby. I hope you get help and relieve those cravings!!
@isaiah4319 well i don't believe it. It's a health condition that a lot of pregnant women develop, she need a doctor. People praying for her isn't going to cure her. From the way you worded your comment it makes it sound like you're saying that it's not a health condition but something is wrong with her spiritually and prayer will just magically cure her.
It's nothing to be embarrassed about and is very common. I lack iron when I'm not pregnant and it gets way worse when I am. With my last pregnancy I did laundry every single day so I could smell the laundry detergent that I so badly wanted to drink 😷 definitely bring it up with your Dr.
My oldest sister craved soap while pregnant with her daughter and my mother told me she used to crave and eat raw rice when she was pregnant with her.
@ajowens1547 i wasn't obscene just stating my opinion like everyone else. She doesn't need an exorcism she needs a doctor.
@wvgirl and she didn't leave out that going to the Dr was important. She was being nice. So calling her out and being obscene about it isn't very cool.
@ajowens1547 i believe in prayer but telling her that its more spiritual than anything and acting like prayer will cure it is crazy! She needs to see a doctor before she ends up really sick.
@wvgirl @isaiah4319 prayer helps with a lot of things honey, no need to be rude!
My cousin would literally eat ashes and suck on toilet paper when she was pregnant. PICA is really common, just be sure to be honest with your Dr!
@isaiah4319 a demon didn't possess her and make her crave and eat toilet paper.
I know a girl that ate dryer lint when she was pregnant. It’s super common
My doc always asks me if I'm craving anything weird, So at my last appointment I asked her what she considers weird. She told me she's had people who crave dirt, copper, things like that so no they won't think its weird. Its most likely because your lacking something in your diet. You need to tell them so they can help you.
PICA is very common and is due to lacking a mineral or something essential in pregnancy for example those who crave the smell of rubbing alcohol are usually lacking iron.
I would just tell them your cravings. They help you, that’s what you’re paying for.
Just tell him I’m sure they’ve heard it all nothing to be embarrassed about hun
Just tell them. It's called pica, in most people it's due to a deficiency somewhere, vitamins and minerals, etc.
They've heard it all so even if you're embarrassed you really shouldn't be!
In the meantime I highly advise stopping. That could back up in your intestinal tract and cause a blockage or serious problems.
Not embarrassing, totally common! My sis craved and ate a handful of dirt once when she was preggo and she just needed extra vitamin supplements - your ob can make sure you’re getting all the nutrients you need. ❤️
