A little PSA...listen to your bodies ladies you know best. I went to the hospital with contractions a little under 5 minutes apart about 30 to 45 seconds apart. They hooked me up on monitors and checked me. I was 3 cm and 80% effaced. They told me that I wasn't progressed enough. Also I wasn't in "enough pain" come back when I couldn't talk. To come back in 2 hours to get rechecked. I started feeling sick just like what happened with my 1st. I got up to get dressed and my water broke. From my water breaking to my daughter coming was a little under 45 minutes. They had to keep calling in Drs because she was coming so fast. So my advice is you know your body and stick up for yourself.

I hate that they always wanna send one home till one is in the worst pain. 🙄 congratulations on your baby girl.

@mississippi.queen They know a lot and I appreciate all their help. This is the 2nd time where they didn't believe me. They were talking pain meds and pushing an epidural when I said I felt tons of pressure. Once they finally checked my daughter came less than 30 minutes later. My dr got there just as I was pushing.

Yes!!! The "come back when you can't talk" advice isn't so great. People tolerate pain differently...I was dilated to a 9, shaking in pain yet still joking with the nurses. You know your body the best!

@techie_grrl That's me too. I'm lucky to have a very high pain tolerance. Even the Drs said I wouldn't guess you had just gone through all that. They couldn't believe the only thing I took once was some Ibuprofen.
