So my ex has not been apart of this pregnancy at all. Hasn’t asked about the gender, name or anything. Never mentioned baby once after I told him I was pregnant. I get a message from him this morning (group message with my parents) stating “I would like for someone to inform me when Ashley goes into labor so I can be present thanks.” Haven’t heard from him in over two weeks in regards to our daughter we already have smh It wasn’t even apart of my plans to “inform” him, am I wrong for that?

I wouldn’t inform him. If he hasn’t been around for the kid you have already and hasn’t asked about the one in your belly, he has no right to ask to be there

My daughters dad left when we found out we were having a girl. When I went into labor I never told him or any of his family because they never asked about her or anything while pregnant.
And here she is 2yrs old and he still has yet to have anything to do with her.
He moved to a different state an everything.

Thanks ladies, I mean I plan on telling him but on my time. This is my moment and my family that has supported me this entire pregnancy. Not something I feel he deserves or I feel I should have to share.

He has a right to know as it is his child. He does not need to be in the room as it is your birth experience, but once the child is born- it is both your child and he has rights. The courts will not look favorably on you if you make decisions to keep the baby from him should he decide to take you. It doesn’t matter his lack of involvement during pregnancy as the way they see it, baby isn’t here.

I'd tell him to fuck off.
You can tell him you're having the baby but you can ask the hospital to make sure he's not in the room when you give birth.
Don't keep the baby from him once it's born but he doesn't have to be there if you don't want him there.

He has a right to know because in the eye of the courts he has as much rights as you do as a mother. Maybe they will b more in your favor but just keep that in mind. He doesn’t have to b there at delivery but he has the right to know
