Urrghh I wish this app had polls 😩.
Anyways.... would you feel a way about having a male childcare worker taking your female child ( 3yrs) to the toilet?
Please comment yes or no.

@mamachey she can go herself she's just not the best at wiping after a dodo.
@mrskellaway thanks. The owner tried to make me feel guilty for feeling the way I feel. It's like she had no understanding of where I'm coming from at all. I wasn't rude about it at all but she seemed really offended.
That's why I made this post to see if I was being irrational or offensive.
No id teach them to go them self buddy can wait at rhe door
I dont know from a men helping girls point of view if it would bother me as I havent had to address it, but my daughter and son go to preschool that only has female staff and im not in any way concerned about them changing my sons nappy, they've all been crb and dbs checked.
But that said.. your kid, your choice. If its something that makes you feel uncomfortable and that feeling wont change, then stand your ground, I cant see why the male member of staff would complain its one less dirty bum for him to wipe.
@mamagunn.no.1 I agree in a way, but I feel like it's still a very real and current thing as well.
I don't have a problem with him accompanying her as she can pretty much handle herself, but when it comes to wiping her backside I don't see why he should do it when there's at least another 7/ 8 women near by.
@kedwards198 I was advised he's been Dbs checked and had all the relevant training.
I myself am fully diversity trained and I'm all for equal ops, however in this instance I feel that my wishes for my child trump his right to be treated equally.
Positive discrimination can be inforced with the elderly or anyone vulnerable. I feel my 3 year old fits into the latter category.
@vicvellas0411 I was asked this and honestly I can't say as I don't have a son. In theory I get what everyone's saying and may have even agreed, but now it's my reality I have to address it honestly and practically.
Yes, no problems at all
No. He will be fully DBS checked and undergone safeguarding training the same as a female. Would you feel uncomfortable with a lady taking a little boy?
In a nursery there are always other members of staff around very close by.
Yes, I would feel a bit uncomfortable about that. I guess it's just one of those stigma/stereotypes that still lingers.
I feel a little uncomfortable about it. In a previous life I used to volunteer for Sunday school, we were always instructed to only take children of the same sex to the loo and always in groups of more than 2 children.
