When they don’t go to your sons baptism but they invite you to their 4 kid’s baptisms the Thursday after...aren’t sisters great?
@learningmom18 understandably so. My kids only see 2 of their 10 aunts on a regular basis. We only see the others once or twice a year.
@mississippi.queen, yes that’s true. It just frustrates me because they don’t seem to want to be in his life because my husband isn’t their sister. Either that or their jealous of our life and it makes me mad because it will affect him growing up as he starts remembering seeing his aunts
Meh, the only person that's going to remember is you. My siblings weren't present for my baptism. I was 7. My mom never held that against them. The only people it should matter to is the parents (you) and the Lord. It's not supposed to be a big production. It's a very intimate time. If they don't want to be there, so be it. The people that matter will be there. Gotta be a grown up about it and let it go, because being spiteful won't get you anywhere.
@learningmom18, that’s kinda shitty then. I wouldn’t hold it against the kids though and make an appearance.
They both claimed to not have gas money and my husband had to contact them because we didn’t know if they were late or not coming. One sister is basically a single mom so I believe her. The other sisters had a boyfriend and they just had gotten a ton of money from work and child support. They had just bought an $80 game so I think that’s the reason they didn’t attend. They both told us the Wednesday before that they were coming though that was after they were paid. Their dad said he would’ve gave them gas money
You just can't let it bother you.
