When they don’t go to your sons baptism but they invite you to their 4 kid’s baptisms the Thursday after...aren’t sisters great?
@learningmom18 understandably so. My kids only see 2 of their 10 aunts on a regular basis. We only see the others once or twice a year.
@mississippi.queen, yes that’s true. It just frustrates me because they don’t seem to want to be in his life because my husband isn’t their sister. Either that or their jealous of our life and it makes me mad because it will affect him growing up as he starts remembering seeing his aunts
Meh, the only person that's going to remember is you. My siblings weren't present for my baptism. I was 7. My mom never held that against them. The only people it should matter to is the parents (you) and the Lord. It's not supposed to be a big production. It's a very intimate time. If they don't want to be there, so be it. The people that matter will be there. Gotta be a grown up about it and let it go, because being spiteful won't get you anywhere.
@learningmom18, that’s kinda shitty then. I wouldn’t hold it against the kids though and make an appearance.
They both claimed to not have gas money and my husband had to contact them because we didn’t know if they were late or not coming. One sister is basically a single mom so I believe her. The other sisters had a boyfriend and they just had gotten a ton of money from work and child support. They had just bought an $80 game so I think that’s the reason they didn’t attend. They both told us the Wednesday before that they were coming though that was after they were paid. Their dad said he would’ve gave them gas money

Do you think it's weird some families make their baby boy wear a gown for their baptism?
family drama
During my last month of pregnancy my sil offered to throw me a shower under one condition, that she is godmother. I agreed at the time but after my son was born i decided i wanted him baptized catholic. Shes Christian and was so upset saying why would i want that ,catholics are mean and i would be putting her and my brother through a big process. then said she would get her baptismal certificate and attend a catholic church to get a sponsorship. I tried telling her theres more to i...
Baptism/christening
Has anyone not done it yet? And also Melinda still does not have god parents! Haven't decided I am not close enough with anyone to feel comfortable
Too uptight
Apparently my husband and I are too uptight because we weren't willing to allow by mil to give my 5 month old son a spoon full of icing off of a cake at his baptism. Really lady? ? He's not even on solids and he's not getting a spoon full of sugar!

so I'm so indecisive what to wear for my son baptism. ladies what would you wear?
boobs🍒 or no boobs?!
You just can't let it bother you.
