It means either his butt or his head is pushing in that area. Truly could be either. Try belly mapping and ask your OB at your next visit. :)

It's possible. There's no way to be completely sure unless you've spoken to a professional or had an ultrasound to confirm. Also, babies sometimes take their time turning head down and even when they ARE head down this early, they may very well change position later on.
Honestly, you're still 37 weeks. It's too early to worry about the baby's position, but I do empathize with the rib pain. It sucks.
