Ok so me and husband want to go to the beach in a couple weeks to Florida. Are there any Florida beaches safe from red tide? Idk much about it but his cousins scared to go Bc of it lol

@taymw11, it’s in north Florida. We have multiple beaches in our area...Jax beach, Atlantic beach, Neptune beach, Flagler beach. We’re surrounded by water so take your pick lol

Try looking at a specific beach in Destin they usually have water quality tests/records on county/town websites? Or you could call and ask?

Just googled red tide - it appears to be on the gulf side majorly, we like to visit coco beach which is on the Atlantic, doesn’t appear to be an issue there.

I live in Jacksonville and I haven’t heard about red tide here.
