no one ever told me how hard breastfeeding is, especially exclusively breastfeeding.. all i hear is labor stories , pregnancy stories, the no sleep stores etc .. but nothing about the emotions you go thru while nursing a baby! i’m always questioning myself like am i providing him enough milk? what can i and can not eat.. and the latching at birth-first couple of weeks is tough. especially for me not being able to have seen the lactation consult after delivering my son because she had “ too many patients “ other then me. i’m not giving up though i’ll nurse as long as my baby wants it 🙂

You got this! I struggled so much right out of the hospital I almost gave up. I broke down crying a lot. It was hard to latch, hurt & baby would fall asleep. I had to formula feed 2 or 3x he wouldnt eat. I used a tube syringe thingy they gave @hospital. So baby practiced "latching" with someone helping me slowly squirt the formula in the corner of his mouth on the boob until he figured it out and truly latched by himself for however long he wanted. Its a learning curve you're not alone😁
Leaving George Lopez on all night helped me (on mute) because night feedings were the hardest. Box of chips ahoy & tea helped he refuel on the recliner feedings using brestfriend. I didn't burp him to not wake him & he would wake up spitting up milk. So definitely burp in between baby feeding 😉👍🏼it is hard but gets easier I promise. It took me 2.5 months to reach easier feedings... we ended up bf exclusively for 18 months. Not on purpose 🙈 it just got easier to lay down give the boob, burp, switch sides give more milk and put down after rocking.
You feed how you feel is right. If its too stressful try pumping after baby sleeps & when its 2-3hrs wake up the dad saying I can't, your turn. Milk in fridge warm gently in warm water, burp & rock. My turn for sleep😎 and sleep. No sleep messes with your mind, not good🤪. Ask for help to sleep too 🤗 good luck

I’m EBF and girl for some moms it’s tough and others it’s nothing, honestly to me it’s the easiest thing I’ve ever done. Of course IT IS tiring! And you have to have a lot of patience either than that feed on demand and it’ll get easier! Don’t worry about “not knowing how much he’s eating” or if “he’s even getting enough milk” because he is. I had all your same worries and honestly I just let it happen lol you can eat whatever you please. For me being Latina I had to wait 40 days after giving birth to eat “normal foods” but what I did see that increased my supply was oatmeal and soups! Also if you’re tired of that you can mix it up and make quesadillas and have a lettuce salad with a bit of dressing of your choice. Like I said it works different for tithed so what worked for me might not work for you. Sending blessings your way girl!✨

It’s definitely hard and I really wish more women talked about it. The best thing to do is connect with other breastfeeding moms for advice and support. Keep going and trust your body!

You are doing amazing.💕 There is no match to the amazing bond. Thank you for what you are doing for that baby. Don't doubt yourself. Our bodies were made to do this. Soon it will be second nature.🥀
