no one ever told me how hard breastfeeding is, especially exclusively breastfeeding.. all i hear is labor stories , pregnancy stories, the no sleep stores etc .. but nothing about the emotions you go thru while nursing a baby! i’m always questioning myself like am i providing him enough milk? what can i and can not eat.. and the latching at birth-first couple of weeks is tough. especially for me not being able to have seen the lactation consult after delivering my son because she had “ too many patients “ other then me. i’m not giving up though i’ll nurse as long as my baby wants it 🙂
Leaving George Lopez on all night helped me (on mute) because night feedings were the hardest. Box of chips ahoy & tea helped he refuel on the recliner feedings using brestfriend. I didn't burp him to not wake him & he would wake up spitting up milk. So definitely burp in between baby feeding 😉👍🏼it is hard but gets easier I promise. It took me 2.5 months to reach easier feedings... we ended up bf exclusively for 18 months. Not on purpose 🙈 it just got easier to lay down give the boob, burp, switch sides give more milk and put down after rocking.
You feed how you feel is right. If its too stressful try pumping after baby sleeps & when its 2-3hrs wake up the dad saying I can't, your turn. Milk in fridge warm gently in warm water, burp & rock. My turn for sleep😎 and sleep. No sleep messes with your mind, not good🤪. Ask for help to sleep too 🤗 good luck
