You're the mama you can choose how you parent. Dont worry about pleasing others. But honestly in retrospect i wish i would of just let my mom help me even if just to watch him sleep while i shower. I did too much to feel "normal" & have it together in the day that I was wiped out @night & baby wouldnt sleep sometimes😭. Some help is nice if you want it

I think those feelings are normal with your first but for most women that changes fairly soon. I sat just enjoy the new baby stage and who cares if you seem selfish. It's your baby.

I was the same way. I actually would get mad if anyone other then my fiance would hold either of my babies lol. I still get that way at times with my daughter but its not as bad. Its more so when people take her out of my arms

He’s still little so of course you’re obsessed with him and want to keep him to yourself. Eventually you’ll be begging someone else to hold him so you can have a few minutes to yourself. 😂 Just wait.

Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital?

Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital? I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? How do I tell them I dont want visitors a minute after pushing out a baby?! I would like some private time for just my husband & I!
