So, woke up at 2:30am and had to pee. Heard some weird noises coming from the vent in our bathroom. Next thing I know there’s a bat flying around in our house😮 Woke up hubby and we got it out but, here it is, almost 3 hours later and I’m still awake sitting here feeling our little boy do karate in my stomach. I guess it was too much middle of the night excitement for both of us.

Yeah bats are typically social creatures. While they are more common in attics. They can be in basement. Animal removal is what my husband does for a living.

Really? @nerdymommyplus2, I definitely don’t want another one in the house. That was not fun. The vent goes to the basement, I think. We haven’t lived in this house very long so I’m not positive where everything goes yet. Thankfully my kids were sleeping. My daughter would’ve freaked out.

Not to scare you but honestly I would have someone from animal removal come out. It was most likely not alone. Was the vent like connected to attic ??
