Okay so this is going to sound crazy so the other day I was cooking and I was reaching behind a pot to grab another pot on the stove and my left nipple touched the pot I just had on a really thin workout shirt no bra and I did this twice now my nipple is burnt like it’s black and the skin is coming off and I can’t pump because I’m pulling blood into my milk and it hurts like hell so I have to hand express but because my nipple is burnt and covered by a scab it’s so hard to do it and I can’t feed from that side until it heals like idk what to do HELP ME PLEASE ! @anthonysmommie072816 Omg that's awful 😥 I'm so sorry 😥 the one where I am about to have my second baby has like a free day every week nursing mothers meet with this lady. That's messed up that it is so expensive.
@babymay2016, yes! It’s like $100 a session n I don’t have that to spare
@anthonysmommie072816 I feel you... I didn't want to do it either when I had my son and fell asleep pumping, woke up and milk was super bloody... They told me it was okay but I just couldn't do it. And the lactation specialist costs??
@babymay2016, I kno but I don’t wanna give him bloody milk and yes they do but they cost unfortunately
Well first of all it is actually okay to give your baby your milk with your blood in it... Which personally really freaks me out.. But your blood and milk are very similar in like what makes it up. But you should certainly see your OB/ ask your pediatrician. Maybe even go to an Urgent Care if you cant get in ASAP. Does your hospital you delivered at have a lactation specialist? You cpuld make an appt with them too
@jasthorpe413, thank you me too I also rub breast milk on it I just don’t want to get clogged ducts
@anthonysmommie072816 the only thing I know to do is to maybe keep the scab soft with that..... it might make it a bit easier.....I hope it feels better soon
@heera, I’ve been putting breast milk and the triple antibiotic cream on it
Pump the other breast, and put your breast milk on it. Warm washcloth gently put that on it. But definitely put breastmilk on it. What have you been doing for it so far so far hunn?
@anthonysmommie072816 damn that looks so sore....... believe it or not I've done that before but not while breast feeding......... have you put any medicine on it?
Call your doctor and see if you can get burn cream?
