After I made it a few times I started playing with other spices with it but I make it with spaghetti, salads, rice, potatoes etc... it goes good with just about anything!

Shake and bake chicken with potato (you can do instant) with a bag of frozen veggies steamed. Super easy

Spaghetti would be an easy starter meal. To make it slightly easier you could have him use already made sauce. But it would teach him how to boil noodles and cook ground beef (if you like putting it in your spaghetti). You could branch those 2 skills into other things easily.

My brother started with "pizza planks". Cut a French bread loaf lengthwise. Pull out the soft "guts". Spread marinara sauce, cheese, and pepperoni (or any toppings) into both halves. Put in the oven on a baking sheet at 350 for 15-20 minutes. After it cools for a few minutes, you can cut it across into planks to eat.

I have a garlic parmesan chicken I make, it can seem like a lot the first time you make it but it's fairly easy. I can send the recipe once I get home! 👍
