sometimes things just hits you and you wonder if you're really as good of a friend as people tell you. they'll say it, but never actually treat you like a friend. more like a tourist in their lives. tell you all about how amazing or miserable their life is and when they vent their feelings, frustrations, or run out of things to brag about, they're gone until next time. maybe even until you try reconnecting. it's miserable to be that friend that's there for everyone. showing love and support, but not being good enough to participate in their life. yes, we're grown adults now and have lives of our own, but friendship should be more than a message, comment, or like/react every few months or so. it would be nice to know you matter to them in this life rather than when they're at your funeral, crying like they visited you every day and hung out with you whenever they were free. I'm just saying, it would be a lovely thing to know that someone thought of you as more than just a person from school or a person on a screen. you know? what's so wrong with that?
