TMI.. Got a membrane sweep today, about after hour ago had sex with SO and went to the bathroom…

That's normal after you have sex that use to happen to me when I was pregnant and we would have sex except it would never be as much as yours it would be like dime size.

@babyayleensmommy, this is the first time I’ve been this! I would get discharge and leak from the unprotected sex, but it was never a glob of mucus like how it is there!! Hoping it’s mucus plug since I got the membrane sweep today🤞🏼

I’ve never had that after having sex .. but not sure if thts only wen u are certain weeks pregnant

Yeah but I never had sex as far along as you lol I was soooo uncomfortable the past few weeks. It's normal but then again not to sure because mine was never as much as your it was just a tiny bit of mucus @brianamestichelli

Yesss that happened to me when I got my sweep on Monday, I’ve been losing some ever since then.

@beeforever98, yes after I got home from appt I got on my yoga ball and a slight hush of discharge came out. Not mucusy like the pic but just reg discharge ! 🤞🏼 hopefully we’re both progressing . My induction is in 8 days

@brianamestichelli, that sounds like a good sign I’ve been having a lot of discharge after my sweep too! Fingers crossed our babies show up soon lol my induction is on the 19th!!

Aahhh were so close together lol ! When was your original due date ?? Mines Aug 11th tomorrow. I’m 1-2 cm dilated and a high cervix! I have yet to experience a contraction either lol so seeing this was exciting to me😅

@brianamestichelli, I know! my original due date is August 11th too!! I’m 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced.. I’ve had mild contractions but nothing regular it’s like I’ve been having false labor all week 😭 and girl you should be excited it’s a sign that labor is soon☺️

@beeforever98, boy or girl ?? Or is it a surprise? Let me know if you make it to your induction date! I heard it can be pretty intense when they bring on labor. We go in 7:30 sat. I’m really hoping for natural birth🙏🏼

@brianamestichelli, I’m having a boy, what about you?? I’ll definitely keep you updated, you do the same! I’m scared of being induced not gonna lie I’m hoping I go into labor on my own too😭 but if I don’t we go in at 4:00 pm Sunday

@beeforever98, we’re having a girl! If I make it to induction I’ll let you know what method they use on me ! So far she mentioned foley balloon and pitocin.

@brianamestichelli, my doctor wants to do cervidil and pitocin. Hopefully we both have easy deliveries! 🙏🏼

@brianamestichelli, I’ve had mild contractions all week, but nothing regular. They feel like period cramps however some are more intense than others! Nothing that takes my breath away so I know they’re not the real thing lol

@beeforever98, that’s what I get ! Nothing that stops me from walking and talking or apparently nothing that makes me dilate either 🙄 keep me updated💛 hope your lil guy comes soon!

Mucus plugs are usually blood tinged. Brighter red is supposed to be more indicative of labor being near. I had a sweep, and had some rougher sex a few days later that brought on labor. I have also heard that you having an orgasm is helpful since it stimulates contractions. Good luck!
