Looking into delivery with an anterior placenta and I’m freaking myself out. My baby is in transverse position now but if she doesn’t move to head down, I’m now afraid of having a c section with the anterior placenta I had no idea the risk that is involved. 😳

Your still super early. There’s plenty of time for your placenta to move as well as your baby!

Well if it makes you feel better I delivered naturally with an anterior placenta. I feel like what you are reading is like the worst case scenario. The only bad thing about having the placenta like this in my opinion is the fact that you don’t feel baby move as much and I had back labor. Which is way worse. This pregnancy the contractions have been so much better and I haven’t had as much back pain.
If you do need a c-section and are worried just voice it. Tell them you have an anterior placenta. Which they should know it’s in the chart but still better to say something to bring it up. But baby still has soooooooo much time to move head down. If you are really worried try doing stretches to move baby. Go on all 4’s and arch your back like a cat then bring it back down.

@tiera_shaye, yes, I’m sure they are worst case scenarios. But now it’s in my mind. I have Factor V (blood clotting issues) that actually runs in my family, my grandma, dad and sister have it as well. My grandma died from a blood clot and my dad and sister have both had them. All the babies in our family have been c sections except for me, my mom was able to do a natural delivery with me but that’s not anything right? That’s just by chance that babies haven’t been in the right position? I’m way over thinking this 😑

@sara672014, it’s hard not to worry. But that’s what being a parent is about haha. I think you are overthinking. As hard as it is try to think the other way. You don’t have any risk factors that would make you have to have a c-section. Just because everyone else did doesn’t mean you will. And yes baby isn’t in the right position now but has plenty of time to move. My baby now hasn’t been head down until very recently. All that matters is they are head down by he time labor starts.
