When I got engaged, I desperately wanted a mountain winter wedding. 🏔❄️ But, my husband proposed in July, and it was either plan a wedding for 140 guests in 5 months or 17 months. Too short of a notice, and too long to wait. I ended up having it in San Diego in September the following year.
I decided to do a winter maternity shoot for this baby! Up in the mountains in Jan/Feb in Lake Tahoe. And since I won’t know the gender i plan on wearing white! 🤗 It’s like I’m getting a feeling of my wanted winter wedding anyway! 🌨❤️

It’s just hard to find someone with an opening. I recommend just going to Instagram and searching the hashtags for your area. Like, for me I searched #RenoMaternityPhotographer ... then I found someone I liked, and their style!

@jennatess, my bfs dad lives in Orange County and wants to come out for baby’s birth so he’s trying to get the time off work.

You’re so super lucky to get to do it looking on Lake Tahoe! That was mine and hubbys favorite place to go. We carved our names in a tree out there on a hiking trail. 💞

@scasacca, I’m from Southern California where the most inexpensive photographer for family photos is around $850. My wedding in San Diego was $4,400. Granted, I got about 200 pictures of the day. 😍. Alyssa Poland in Tahoe (the one I booked) is $400. Soooo much better than what I’m used to!
