Help!!!
My lease is up 12/23 and I want to move . For some reason I thought I had to give 30 day notice, no it’s 60 days . My fault for not double checking. My rent would be 1410 per the contract does the math add up to 1692 month to month? It says 120% of rent . The office isn’t answering my calls or emails once I said I want to give my 60 days as of 11/12. Sorry if it’s too small
That’s what I’m hoping. When I was asking she said 60 days from 11/12 is 1/11 I understand the contract as saying if you leave before 60 days you still have to pay for 60 days . I hope I’m making sense . I’m so flustered right now that customer service tried saying its rent x 1.5 which is hundreds more than what my contact states . She messaged the lady I’m supposed to deal with and supposedly she was gonna call me back after she got off the phone . That was over an hour ago .
@mmgarcia81 that's what it looks like to me also 😔 we were told ours was a 30 day (we didn't have a paper copy of the lease, they said we had it emailed but it was never there so we weren't aware and that was our mistake of not making sure we had it.)
@bodybycheetos, I don’t know why I assumed it was 30 days so I was thinking cool I have until 11/23 since the lease is up 12/23 . Nope 60 days , my fault. I just wish I’d get confirmation. She was emailing me to renew the lease . As soon as I started asking questions about moving she stopped communicating.
@mmgarcia81, super rude and unprofessional. Rent in Seattle is terrible too.
I agree I’m so upset right now because customer service said month to month is 1.5 times rent but my contact states times 120 percent which I thought is 1.2 1410 x 1.2 =1692 and she won’t respond to me .
🤦🏻♀️
I’ve sent her several emails and voicemails and nothing. I’ve rented here for 4 years , never paid late and this ? Phoenix rent has gotten so high here . It’s crazy
Why is rent so damn high where do you live lmao 😆 it’s insane to think someone could pay that all while trying to move in somewhere eles
@mmgarcia81, last years census showed $93,000. Average for the country was $62,000. That’s nuts.
@lorrinleigh, yeah it’s really expensive here too. We have similar prices and median income is 85k
I put my notice 11/12 so I think my move out date will be 11/11 or 11/12 . She stopped answering me once I said I’d like to give 60 days it’s been since Tuesday. It says increased 120 of market rent . I think that rate will be effective after 12/23
@mmgarcia81, regardless if you have a paper trail it will have dates
Yea that what it sounds like too. That sucks she’s not responding. Is there an office you can go to? If you’ve been sending emails you should have proof with dates.
@bunsinmyoven, yes the office is 45 minutes away and we were emailing back and forth. I assumed she would email be back if it wasn’t sufficient and now she’s ignoring me . All I want is what is due for dec and Jan so I can be prepared for Holidays, moving and such . I calculate 1410 times 120 percent at 1692 prorated from 12/24 to 60 days is up .
I think it saying you will have to pay January rent too at 120% percent rate
It sounds like you might have to pay for an additional month. (After 12/23). Once your lease is up it converts to a month to month. But from the sounds of the lease you can either give 60 days now and pay the next two months or, wait till the lease is up and give 30 days and pay that last month. Both are pretty much the same. But the last month will be paid at 120%.
What is the normal rent for a 1br / 1ba in your area? I’m currently paying $857 a month & I really feel like it’s overpriced

Guys if I was looking at a place to rent on Craigslist and I go to click on the ad again and this pops up does that mean it's a scam?? I need to know because my boyfriend and I have been talking to the person !!
Bills
How much does your bills/rent/mortgage add up per month?

This is NOT happening !!!!!!! I swear I had given up! But I'm 5 days late and I just got my BFP ???
Breast feeding is a full time job I really want to give up already 😢
Ask her if you need to pay the full month or if they will charge for the extra 11/12 days instead since you won't be there the full month. Ours said this also and we only paid $112 or something like that for the extra 13 days after our lease ended.
