Can you have contractions and not have a broken water? If that makes any sense
@not_a_newbie, thank you that helps
Im late but I thought i'd reply to this anyways lol YES you can and will have contractions without yoir water breaking! Take it from me- my son was born in the backseat of the car on the way to the hospital bc an idiot nurse told me I shouldnt come in to labor and delivery unless my contractions are 5 minutes apart at least or my water breaks. My water didnt break until a minute before his head came out so I didnt have intense contractions or consistenty until it broke bc of the cushion (as the doctor explained it to me) some contractions I couodnt even feel! If you feel any type of way or off or just want to get checked, Fuck it! Get checked and go in! Fuck being embarrassed bc you wasnt sure! I found out firsthand l&d will turn you away over the phone, i should of just went in! Cause trust me when I say its better to be safe than sorry girl 💗💗 good luck
Yes. Every friend of mine who has a child recently had severe contractions but water either didn't break or was way after birth contractions started.
@tiera_shaye, no worries hun I hope you feel better
From what I gathered you have been sick? Diarrhea and cramping. Your most likely experiencing cramping or contractions from being dehydrated. Like the nurse said you can drink some Gatorade and fluids. And rest. Or if you feel it’s that bad I would just go in. With my last pregnancy I was in the Er probably 3x with severe dehydration and needed lots of fluids. Sometimes you need more than what can be done at home. Listen to why your body and instincts are telling you. Always better to be safe than sorry in my opinion. And your water doesn’t have to break to have contractions. When I was in labor with my daughter it did but this pregnant I have been having real timeable contractions they can’t stop since 34 weeks. I’m in prodromal labor. It’s awful lol. Also sorry if this is all over the place. I’m in L&D and they have me pain meds for a migraine so I’m a little out of it. Haha
@newlywedmama21, my water broke with my son and I had to get a csection
Yes, my water never broke on it's own with any of my 3 babies...
@mazzika_idfwu, I was eating toast all day 🤷🏼♀️
Try calling the labor and delivery for the hospital, and talk with a nurse or just go in.
@mazzika_idfwu, I called my doctors office and she told me to get over the counter meds for my diarrhea but they are closed and I don’t have it anymore I just have really bad cramps 😣 she told me to eat toast and drink Gatorade witch I don’t see what that’s gonna do
Yes, definitely! Ignore everything you've seen in movies. For most women they never happen at the same time.
We have a racist on the APP ‼️
??????October 2018 babies??????
Congratulations to everyone who have received their bfp!
You know you have children when...
You get to work and notice that your pants have smudges of unidentifiable origin from the knee down. ?
School fees
Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
We all have a different definition of “clean”🤢
@mazzika_idfwu yesss girl!! I wish I wouldnt of listened but i figured theyre trained for it so they would know! I was totally naive about the whole thing smh healthcare is shitty where I live anyways and apparently I wasnt the first backseat baby in my area either, its a pretty common occurance here unfortunately 🙈 the nurses just get a slap on the wrist... Im now getting my tubes tied bc I'm not going through that again lol it scarred me for real and my son had to stay in nicu bc of it! Im glad evwryrhjng worked out for you and you didnt listen to them!
