Maybe they won’t check it anymore ... I have OB appointment this week and then start up again with weekly perinatal week after thanksgiving . I read they are painful too ... so I guess it’s best for them to stay out of there! Last time they checked mine it was around 4 for length ,

I should have added that they just check it with the ultrasound wand when they do it. That's all I've had done so far.

I'm also pregnant with twins and they check it at every ultrasound since I was about 20 weeks.

I only get checked if I have an issue like contractions or that one time I thought my water broke because one of my girls made my belly do a wierd pop sound... so far the outer cervical oz is open but the inner oz is closed still. No dilation and my cervix is still high...

I was informed that a cervix check does not need to occur until 38 weeks and even then can be declined until 40 weeks because they can cause infection as it is a greater chance of introducing germs deeper into the vagina...

I however get my cervix length checked every time I go to my perinatologist... measuring 4.7cm every time I've gone in...
