How do your twins sleep from 0-3 months?

Did you use separate bassinets? The larger arms reach cosleeper? Joovy? Did they sleep together? Apart? I am getting into the last few weeks and trying to figure out what sleeping contraption to buy for my bedroom. We have plenty of space so that’s not a constraint ... help a new momma out! Thanks girls ?

Newborns don’t sleep more then 2hours, if you are lucky maybe 3 hours, they don’t spend long period of time in the rock n play. I took the advice of the pediatrician and for me and my babies worked very well, my babies are now 22 months old ?

So today I was gifted two bassinet hand me downs... I think they are both pink but my boy will have to deal with it ;) I have boy/girl twins coming.... I’m going to try those out, and if it doesn’t work maybe the big arms reach co sleeper , but it’s pricey . Im worried about the Graco bc my twins are projected to be about 8lbs at birth so don’t think I will be able to use the Graco for too long... I’m a bit concerned about the rock and play also bc they don’t fully recline but I have heard good stuff about them in the case of reflux

Clearlyrose the crib and the floor can also give your babies flat heads you just cant always leave them laying down... its great you have so many options to choose from i would say you have enough but once your babies are born IF they get reflux then maybe you could check them out.... just like with pregnancy stay away from google lol

Yeah, I am genuinely curious; I’ve been following this thread for a few days because I have no clue what it’ll be like. Right now I have two bassinets (one came with my stroller rated for overnight sleep and the other was a hand-me-down) and just today a friend gave me a co-sleeper, the kind that nestled against the bed....? I also have the two cribs, and then I started to see the rock n play throughout this thread and thought maybe that’s the way to go, but then googling it, everything recently was so negative and talking about flattening babies heads etc.... so yes, genuinely curious on this discussion and continuing to follow. Like OP, I’m a clueless new Mom just following for suggestions! ?

Well in the begging when they are new borns they only sleep for short periods anyway, as I remember anyway lol. Wish I had the rock n play when my son was born because he never slept more then 10 mins in a bassinet. So I'm not wasting money on a bassinet for that to happen again. Babies will only be in rock in play for the first few months then something else like pack n play

My dr suggested them for reflux and thats what saved me with mine and they are 3yo now there is risks with almost everything out there

I’m really not trying to be an alarmist but so many people are suggesting the rock n play, when I’ve read a lot of reports on the dangers of an infant sleeping in them. They’re great, no doubt about it, for SHORT periods of time but they are not sleepers. ?

Unless I’ve missed something? I’d be open to hearing more....

No, the rock n play don’t recline flat because of this during the day they always slept in the crib and the night in the rock n play for me get some sleep too. The motion make them fall sleep without fussing ☺️

We had the graco twin pac and play but they wouldnt sleep in it. We got 2 rock and plays due to reflux and they slept in them for a while but then they started choking so then they started sleeping in bed with us until about 4 months and now at 5 months they sleep in the pack and play without the bassinets. On their bellies

Soliel - I chose the graco twin pack n play - I posted a picture in here the day before yesterday if you want to take a look at it. It is super light weight though it is larger than a normal singletons pack n play. And the only review I was worried about was that the bassinet attachment sinks once the babies are 10 pounds each but once I put it together I can tell that a thin sheet of wood underneath of it would reinforce it and they could easily stay in the bassinets until they are 15-20lbs. I love it! It is beautiful and large enough for them to be in it until about 6 months easily. I need that as I don't plan on moving them out of my room until at least 6-9 months...

@bibi, do the rock and play fully recline so they can sleep flat on their backs?

@iam which twin pack and play did you buy??? Why did you choose the one you did? I was looking at joovy but it’s really big and bulky and people complained of the weight

@andy those are great and such good price too! Thanks!

Rock n play for the first 2 months after that crib.

I just bought a twin pack n play for my room - it has 2 individual bbassinettes and when the twinkies are older it has a divider to avoid them rolling onto each other... I thought it was the coolest thing ") just waiting for it to arrive so I can put it together and finally be done with baby prepping >.

One more comment about the bassinets we picked. We originally bought them to use outside and because they were so easy to travel with us to the grandparents. We planned on originally sleeping them I. Cribs in their own room.

At the hospital we got used to having the bassinet right by us so we kept these ones in our room. One of the best features are the screen sides so that we can actually see into the bassinet without having to get up! ?

Mine are in separate bassinets. We were going to sleep them together but my little guy was in the nicu a week and a half while his brother went home. Since they were already used to sleeping apart we just left them that way.

We got these bassinets online

The price was good and we love them. They fold up for travel and have a screen covering so we can use them outside. Boys are 10 weeks now and don’t sho any signs of outgrowing them anytime soon.

I have the arms reach Ideal co-sleeper. We can't wait to use it when our boys arrive in 3 weeks! X

I was thinking of just using a rock n play for each of them. I really don't know what else to do. My son did not like his bassinet whatsoever so we got ride of it. I'm not about to buy two more and have them not like it. Plus the Rock n play is good for them if they have reflux since it's on an angle a tiny bit

I’m so undecided on what to get :/ all the contraptions are expensive and what if they hate it??? I might wait closer to due date but only have a few more weeks to go

Mine have shared a crib since day 1 except for about a week when it was really hot so we had them in a twin pack and play in our room so we could monitor the room temp. They like to be close so in the p&p they both scooted to the middle and even in the crib they will scoot close to each other.

Lol ill comment my response here mine are about to be 3 yo now but when i had them they slept in one crib then they got reflux so they slept in r&p for a month or two and i switched them back to one crib where they stayed till 18 months i only switched cause one started biting the other they always ended up at the end of the crib asleep so they could touch eachother then at two i put them in toddler beds and i always woke up to them in the same one so i just got bunk beds and they both sleep on the bottom bunk together

We opted for the twin pack and play for our bedroom. It has a top with two separate bassinets that are side by side.

Some reviews mention that it can sag a little in the middle as they get bigger, but my husband looked at it and decided he could reinforce it pretty easily if he needed to. Plus, at the end, it's still a large pack and play that we can use as they grow.

We got it on sale for about $100, which seemed better than buying two bassinets that they would outgrow before too long.

Granted, this is all speculation right now so my plan could still fail horribly... time will tell. ?
