I'm 37w4d and having bad cramps like period cramps. I've had them since yesterday and they seem to have gotten worse. Now it feels almost like full blown period. But I was checked this morning and I'm only 1cm dilated and she says I still feel firm like I've not thinned.
Anyone else have cramps around this time? Is it normal? It hurts for me to even walk. I didnt feel this bad at my appt this morning or I would've asked my doc. I did mention the cramps and she blew it off

@swedishmomma I only spotted from my last cervical exam so far just because she was pretty damn rough. Like i immediately bled and then i spotted for 2 days! They asked about it today and I said uh yeah I spotted up til that weekend and the nurse was like oh gosh. Bjt that was the NP who did that exam and my actual OB did it today and shes not nearly as rough thank goodness. Still painful either way! I hate those things ugh. Have you lost your mucus plug or anything?

@spookylyn I have contractions all the time 😭 I've had them since 17weeks. I only start timing them if they come consistently but that's only happened once lately thankfully! Want her to keep cooking a bit longer!

@rachael.mei thats what I read. I've also been spotting on and off, so I wouldn't be suprised if my cervix has started to dilate. But yeah, a LOT of what I've been reading is that its pretty normal now that we're in the home stretch. Pelvic pain, period pain, and back pain seem to be the usual. It stinks certainly though!

@swedishmomma I seriously even have a pad on because I did have a cervical exam today so I figured I might spot from that or have some light cramping. But like the cramping started yesterday and just seems to have gotten worse this afternoon. Maybe it's because of all the craziness going on with our cervix right now in the last couple of weeks?

@swedishmomma well I'm glad to know I'm not alone! I'm seriously in bed at 5pm just laying here waiting for my husband to get off work so I can ask him to pick us up dinner because theres no way I'm getting up to cook! Gosh I do NOT miss periods lol I'm so not looking forward to postpartum bleeding

I'm 37 weeks too and going through exactly the saaaame thing. The cramping is really damn tough, like a bad period. So although I don't exactly know if its normal or not, since I have my next appointment friday, I can tell you that you're not alone!!
