Does anyone know anything about maternity allowance? I’m struggling to figure out how much I’ll get and it’s stressing me out because I like to plan and be prepared and I feel really anxious that I’m not going to be able to afford to have the amount of time off I want ☹️

@toni_mcentee, thanks, I’ve already read all that but I find the way they word everything very confusing and I just need someone to tell me their experience with it. My hours have been really bad at work recently but using the 13 weeks I earned the most within the test period thingy I think I’ll get like £100 a week which is way more than I’ve been getting paid recently since my hours got bad x
I didn’t work when I had my son so I have no idea how much that is either haha. I’ve sent off the 13 weeks worth of wage slips where I earned the most in the test period like it says on the form but I just need someone who’s had it to confirm how it all works 😱 x
I was on maternity allowance you get the same amount as smp x
@toni_mcentee, I did, they don’t know either 😂 I don’t earn enough to get SMP so it’s nothing to do with my employer so they haven’t a clue 😬 guess I’ll just have to wait and see how much they pay me 😣 x
