My personal opinion I wouldn't want my kids in there that young.

It can be scary to see your mom in pain that young

Definitely wouldn't allow that, personally. My daughter is about to be 3 and she gets so, so upset when I'm hurt/crying. I broke my ankle 3 days ago and she's been watching me like a hawk because there's clearly something wrong with me. For her to see me writhing in pain during labor would just be too much for her, and I know that.

Probably not that age because kids that age don't sit for long or wants this or that. It can make it harder for you to focus on you and the baby.

We had our oldest in the room. He was 7 yrs at the time. Our room was a big room with a sofa in there. He sat there when it was time. I am not an over dramatic person. I didn't get my epidural like I wanted to. But I didn't scream or act like i was dying(yes I know every person is different). Once our 2nd was out and they cleaned me up that's when he got up to see he's baby brother. He loved being there and we loved having that family experience.

I'd say no just because there's so much going on in the hospital. It can be boring, long, stressful. Then you may be worrying about them instead of focusing on your labor or even take away attention from your partner that you will need.

I'd be afraid God forbid something bad happened that they'd be traumatized

They're still so little I honestly don't think they would even remember anything other than just "being in the room" it's not like they will be staring into the abys of your ladybits watching it all. hehehe our son is 5 he has more understanding of things and he will be 6 when our son is born. He's older to understand but were not sure yet if hes at a good age that we want him to be with us or not. It is kind of a hard call isn't it! lol
