Has anyone had any experience with tongue tie? Isla is getting hers snipped tomorrow and I’m in bits over it 😩😩😩 her feeding is terrible so hoping this helps!!
Honestly it will be over before you no it it literally takes seconds and the is no side effects after it she might bleed for a second but as soon as she's fed it will stop xx @stephcav2211
Same as Cheryl mines not quite the same, but I found out last week mine had a lip tie. She fell over and ripped the lip tie, she didn't cry though, it just bled a tiny bit was all flappy. the bit of skin I've noticed goes through a gap in her front teeth so hopefully that'll get better for her now.
Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure the younger she has it done the better long term. Hopefully it'll help feeding too x
@cheryl123, I’ve also struggled to breastfeed and had to stop after a couple of weeks because she was loosing weight. She’s slightly better with a bottle but can’t take more than an ounce at a time xx
It’s not the same but Sophia has Lip tie. We never knew until she was 2. We knew her teeth were extremely gaped and everyone would comment on the gap when she smiled. I struggled to breast feed too. It was the dentist that noticed it. He said once her small teeth come away and adult teeth come on it may get better if not they will cut. X I’m confident your little one will be absolutely perfect tomorrow x
@chesscalouise2, yes she dribbles terrible. I have to use a towel instead of a bib. We are at alder hey in the morning. I’m really dreading it as I’ve got to go on my own 😢 xx
