@vvrobinson, I just wanna make sure he’s pooping enough

My first daughter has usually had 3 a day. Now she has one a day. I will tell you though that the first months of her life I've gone through approx. 420 diapers a month. I looked into my diaper purchases in 2016. Cassie is averaging the same so far

@taymw11, I hope he’s feeling better soon! I was losing my damn mind when it happened to mine so I completely understand how you feel right now.

@crystalhealing, yes mam I have gripe water. This new formula doesn’t make him as fussy. It seems to help some

@taymw11, I just checked my constipation stash for my baby and everything is 6 months or over. But gripe water might be the way to go for you.

@crystalhealing, I’ve gave him suppositories. I also heard I can put dark Karo syrup in his formula. I guess I’ll see if he poops tomorrow and if not I’ll call :(

@taymw11, I’ve heard of other babies getting constipated on formula. Just call your pediatrician tomorrow and ask them what to do. I’m not sure if your little guy is old enough but I know other mothers who’ve had to use glycerin suppositories.

I started off breast feeding but now I’m formula feeding, he was staying constipated it seemed so I switched formulas that seemed to help and he finally went really good on his own yesterday and nothing today.

So, average amount for 1 month baby really depends on whether you’re formula feeding vs BF.

I EBF and mine pooped several times a day at one month of age but she was also born with jaundice and we struggled with that for a few weeks. I noticed she pooped a lot less as the months went by. Breastfed babies absorb more of the nutrients and poop less often than formula fed babies. The longest mine went without pooping before I started her on solids at 6 months was a whole week. It freaked me out lol.
