So I had preeclampsia with my son in the last trimester of my pregnancy so I knew there was a chance of getting it this pregnancy but now I’m starting to get worried that it’s already happening. For the last week I’ve been having a persistent headache I can’t get to go away no matter what I do and my vision is going in and out, also I’m starting to swell and I’m always out of breath. On top of that my blood pressure was 139/86 at my last doctors appointment. So yeah it’s pretty clear that something is going on. I called my doctor this morning at like 10, the nurse called back at 11 asking some questions to talk to the doctor and said she’d call me back once she talks to my doctor and it’s now 2:15 and I haven’t heard anything back. I’ve never had issues with my doctor taking so long to call me back and now I’m worrying because I feel like this is a pretty serious issue. Am I just being paranoid or should I call them again to try and get in??

I’d go in. If you’ve been through it before and you know the symptoms and your own body, you don’t need to wait for the call

@k_nc, I’ve had it in all three of of previous pregnancies. I’m pretty positive it can’t develop until after 20. Maybe it’s just the heat. Try drinking lots of gateraid/water and making sure your keeping cool and getting plenty of rest.

@cowgirl2790, oh I do trust me, I almost get sick from how many fluids I consume a day. Trying everything but I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow to see what’s going on. I mean you’ve had it so you know how stressful it is when you have those signs so early!

@k_nc, for sure, just try to relax and don’t let it stress you out. That only makes your bp higher. Good luck mama. Let us know what you find out!

@cowgirl2790, thank you!
