Ok opinions. My boyfriend and I have been together a year and a half. Lived together for 4 months. I’m 11 weeks pregnant. I found out this morning that he wants a paternity test just to “ease his mind”. Opinions.

@laneylou, I’m sorry mama! Hopefully he apologizes and tells you he didn’t mean that and did his ex daughter mom’s treat him mean or cheat on him for him to say something like that?

How rude of him! I would be so offended and hurt if my SO of 9 years asked me for a paternity test.
It sounds like he might want one Bc he feels guilty about something and I’m only saying that from personal experience. But ya never know. I know it’s a crappy feeling when your other half pulls stuff like this, I’m so sorry you’re having to go through it. Best of luck and I hope everything works out okay!❤️
Do you think his friends or family are perhaps whispering in his ear about it? I would most certainly feel terrible about it but some guys handle pregnancy different. Also if this is his first maybe he's trying to set legal grounds especially for work or insurance or something of that nature but who knows. Have you ask him to elaborate on the peace of mind statement?

I’m not worried about it because I’ve never cheated on him nor would I ever. Just makes me feel like he doesn’t trust me at all when he has no reason to feel that way

If I was in that situation and I have been completely faithful, it'd make me feel shitty. Like he didn't trust me or something. Buuuut if he's having doubts for some reason and you know it's his then just let him have it that way it can ease his mind. Unfortunately there are women who lie about who the father is all the time. Also I'm not sure if it's the same in every state but Indiana requires a paternity test to put the dad on the birth certificate if you aren't married so you might need one anyway.

@melissaredfield87, no not at all!! I don’t really know the reason why he does. I found out from a conversation in his phone. I haven’t talked to him about it in person yet
